I'm Kushan, a cybersecurity graduate with a passion for breaking things ethically and building systems that stand up to attack.
Currently building a home cyber & network lab to simulate real-world attack and defense scenarios — all documented on GitHub and filmed for my YouTube channel @CyberLabDiaries.
Pursuing CCNA and CompTIA Security+, with plans to level up to an MSc in Cybersecurity. Every project here is a step on that road.
A fully isolated virtual lab environment simulating enterprise network topology with attack/defense scenarios, IDS/IPS monitoring, firewall rules, and traffic analysis.
Python-based scanner that automates network recon, port scanning, and service version detection — with output reports for further exploitation or hardening.
Ingesting logs from simulated attack scenarios into Elastic/Splunk, building detection rules, and practicing alert triage and incident response workflows.
Cisco router and switch configuration labs covering VLANs, STP, OSPF, ACLs and network security hardening — documented as study notes and GitHub repos.
Foundations in ethical hacking, digital forensics, network security, cryptography, and security engineering.
Advanced research in cybersecurity — planned to pursue after gaining more hands-on industry experience.
Cisco Certified Network Associate — routing, switching, network security, subnetting and enterprise networking.
Threats, vulnerabilities, cryptography, identity management, risk management and compliance fundamentals.
Documenting my cybersecurity home lab journey — attack simulations, SIEM setups, network configs, CTF writeups, and study vlogs. Real lab. Real learning. No fluff.
